Marine Licence Courses Online

Just ONE ONLY interactive Zoom session of approximately 4 hours including assessment in the comfort of your home conducted by commercial skipper.

On successful completion of the course you will receive by post the Transport Safety Victoria Certificate of Attainment For Marine Licence Training (digital certificates are not approved).  You must submit this certificate to Vic Roads before you can drive boat and/or PWC (Jet Ski).

To participate in online sessions you should have good knowledge of English language, basic computer and email application skills otherwise a classroom could be a better option.

Only 3 Easy Steps to Enrol.

  2. Complete the Enrolment Form and press “Submit” button.
  3. A booking confirmation page will be displayed (please read carefully).

What happens next?

  • Within  12 hours you will receive email confirming the booking with payment and other details.
  • Payment to be made before start of the course by Direct Bank Deposit or Credit Card.
  • You need to provide your ID before start of the course – see Evidence of Identity on the left or click on VicRoads website
  • Course fee does not include the VicRoads Marine Licence fee which is payable at VicRoads, Click on Marine Licence Fee
  • Privacy Statement can be viewed or downloaded at the bottom of this page.

The interactive course is based on instructional recreational marine training videos and the Victorian Recreational Boating Safety Handbook which you can view or download by clicking on the Handbook image on this page.

Pre-Course Information.

The following are the online delivery requirements for each student (groups are not permitted):

  • A computer/laptop with web camera, microphone, Up ToDate Web Browser, email application and speaker.
  • The trainer must be able to see the participant’s heads and shoulders at all times (STV requirement)
  • If more than one person, separate room/area and computer for each person.
  • Smartphones, tablets or iPads only are not allowed – please call to discuss
  • Valid email address.
  • Reliable and stable internet connection.
  • Headphones are recommended but not necessary.
  • A quiet area during course delivery and assessment, noisy rooms can be heard by other participants and will be removed from the meeting.

Note – To guarantee pass is illegal but we do have excellent pass ratio.
